I read that the project is targeting women 18-30. Can I still join the course and be eligible for the certificate and the micro-credentials, if I don’t belong directly to the target group?

Although SheTechTalks main target group is young women 18-30, the project is open to anyone who is interested to learn more on the topics which the Academies cover. Anyone can join and after having completed the course, be eligible for certificate and micro-credentials. Young women 18-30 will remain the primary target group for the group mentoring and the career day In Crete.

I am not able to attend the synchronous ZOOM meetings, can I still join the academies?

Yes. Anyone can join even if they cannot participate in the synchronous sessions. Participants and learners can ask their questions beforehand, in the dedicated Q&A section of the platform.

What do I need to do, so I can be eligible for the certificate?

How can I request the micro-credentials?

After having completed all required actions for the academy, we will contact you with the necessary details and instructions for obtaining the micro-credentials.

How can I register for the academies?

If the course is open, just create an account here and then start/enrol the course. If the course is not open yet, please consult the corresponding infopack above.

Will the synchronous ZOOM sessions be recorded?

While some of them will be recorded and uploaded on the project platform (it depends a lot on the tutor and the participants, we advice you to try to connect to the live sessions, as they are the tool for interacting with the community.

Do I need to pay a participation fee?

NO! All academies and other activities are entirely free of charge and open to anyone to participate!

Are the academies suitable for beginners, or do I need prior knowledge in the course topics?

Academies are designed for beginners, the learning path progressively moves towards more advanced knowledge, with a plethora of material. Also, you have the chance to have your questions answered during the live Q&As of each Friday.e!

Can I join more than one academy? Do I have to register again?

There is no limit to the academies you can join. Once registered, you can enrol to any (open) academy by simply clicking on the join course button.

How long is each session, and how many hours per week should I expect to dedicate?

What happens if I miss a synchronous session?

Joining synchronous sessions is strongly advised for you to meet the tutors and fellow learners. They are designed to create a shared space. If you miss a few, we will record and upload synchronous sessions for you to follow asynchronously.

Do I need to install any software for the sessions?

The synchronous sessions of the academies are facilitated through ZOOM (you might wish to download it, in case you have not already done so) and the asynchronous sessions on the project platform.

Can I view the courses from my smartphone?

Yes, the courses/modules are mobile responsive, but for optimized view, we recommend a pc/screen equal to or larger than 13 inches.
